Sprint's big event with David Blaine is going down tonight (and we'll be there covering it live), but a new report claims to know exactly what the carrier has up its sleeve for tonight. According to the Wall Street Journal and "a person familiar with the device," Sprint will be teaming up with Kyocera to introduce a handset called the Echo, which will sport two 3.5-inch touchscreens and Android. The two displays will allegedly be adjustable, allowing them to be placed side by side or have one display hidden beneath the other, and will also allow users to drag content between the two screens.
Kyocera isn't a name we hear a lot of when discussing high-end or innovative smartphones, but if these new details about the Echo are true, they could have a pretty interesting device on their hands. With the two screens combined, a user could basically have an Android-powered tablet in their hands, which could then be shrunk into a more manageable, smartphone-like 3.5-inch size. Still, we've never seen a dual-touchscreen Android phone before, so it'll be important to see how the Echo actually handles before making any final judgments.
