During its Honeycomb presentation today, Google took the time to unveil the all new Android Market Web Store alongside all of Android 3.0's new features. The new store, which can be found right here, allows users to browse the entire Market and make purchases online. When an app is purchase on the Web Store, a notification is sent to the user's Android phone and the app begins downloading seamlessly. The Market-related updates don't end there, though, as Google announced that in-app purchases will be coming shortly. On the developer side of things, there will be a new feature to allow devs to set exact prices for supported currencies, meaning conversions and random prices like "$3.74" will be a thing of the past.
I'm surprised that Google has taken this long to put a web version of the Android Market together, but I'm certainly glad that it's finally here. Browsing through the 200,000 or so apps works great, and you can easily view screenshots, videos, and reviews in your browser. The over the air installation is even better, because it means that you don't have to worry about plugging in your phone and waiting for it to sync to get your hands on your newly-purchased apps.
