Samsung's Galaxy Tab has been doing pretty well for itself since its launch in the middle of November (here in the U.S., anyway), and today Sammy announced that it's reached another milestone. Samsung announced today that the 7-inch Tab has surpassed two million sales in a span of three months. The Tab has been biggest in Europe, where 500,000 units have been shipped to date, while North America is in second with 350,000 and Asia saw 330,000 sold.
Keeping up with the Tab, Samsung used its Q4 earnings announcement to share the news that it'll be releasing a "range of devices" to complement its tablet. On the phone side of things, the company said that it'll be bringing the successor to the Galaxy S in the first half of this year that will feature a dual-core processor and Super AMOLED Plus display.
This certainly isn't the first or second time that we've gotten word that the Galaxy S 2, and likely the Galaxy Tab 2, are coming, but like I always say, it's good to get the news straight from the source. The question is, will the Galaxy S 2 live up to the awesome specs that we've seen rumored for it? I'm not so sure about the 1280x720 resolution, but a dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM? That certainly sounds doable. We're expecting everything to be revealed at MWC next month, so stay tuned!
