T-Mobile and LG announce the G-Slate, a 4G Honeycomb tablet [UPDATED]

Hot on the heels of Motorola's announcement of the Honeycomb-powered XOOM, T-Mobile and LG have teamed up to the T-Mobile G-Slate with Android 3.0.  Expected to launch "some time in the coming months," the G-Slate will run on T-Mobile's 4G HSPA+ network and will be one of the first 4G tablet from both T-Mobile and LG.  Details about the G-Slate are still pretty sparse right now, but we should be learning more in the near future.  Until then, check out short teaser clip below.

While it'd certainly be nice to have at least a few more details on the G-Slate, I'm still excited to know that there'll be another 4G Honeycomb tablet launching in the near future.  When the device does finally launch, I wouldn't be surprised if it had specs similar to other tablets on the market, like a 10.1-inch display, Tegra 2 core, etc.  So, what do you all think?  Would you rather pick up an LG-made tablet on T-Mo or the XOOM on Big Red?

UPDATE: T-Mobile just posted another G-Slate teaser video, showing how Gmail will work on Android 3.0 and their tablet.  Check out the short video below.
