Help us design the logo for VZBuzz, PhoneDog's newest network site!

As the holiday song says, it’s the most wonderful time of the year!  It is indeed a very important time for PhoneDog Media as we prepare to launch a brand new network site catering specifically to you Verizon fans out there.  That’s right.  Our newest adventure, www.vzbuzz.com, is launching soon and we need your help, your support and your love to get this off the ground.
 
First, we’re kicking things off with a logo contest.  There are a few rules but nothing that should hinder you from being creative and passionate.  The top three (3) finalists will be chosen by reader votes and the PhoneDog crew will pick the winner based on what best jives with the site design which, of course, is under wraps for now. 

Here are the important details you need to know:

• We reserve the right to modify the color scheme of the logo after the contest has been completed.
• "VZBuzz" or ".com" do not have to appear in the logo - excercise those creative minds!
• We'll narrow down the entries to 10, which will be posted on the website for your voting pleasure.  The top three (3) finalists will be chosen by reader votes and we'll choose the winner based on what works best with the overall site design.
• The image should look good in a 200 x 110 pixel space and be white around the edges.  We'll also need to be able to blow it up for marketing purposes, so it needs to look equally great at higher resolutions.  Vector, high-resolution .jpg, or something else - it's all up to you.

You choose the colors, the theme and the style of the design.  Go flat, go bold, go big and flashy.  It’s entirely up to you.  All entries should be submitted to contest@phonedog.com.  The contest will run from November 30, 2010 at 12:01 AM EST to December 15, 2010 at 11:59 PM EST, and you can send as many entries as you want.  The winner will get a $250 prize (paid via Paypal) and a huge ego boost.

We're also looking for a few good men or women who absolutely love all things Verizon and are willing to work voluntarily on VZBuzz.  You’ll be working for free, but you’ll be able to let your creative writing passions come out in front of a (hopefully) huge audience.  Those interested should send contact information and a sample post to contest@phonedog.com.
 
This is a brand new adventure for PhoneDog Media so we hope you will stay tuned.
