While many of us were busy giving thanks and devouring turkey yesterday, the Nexus S was busy posing for photo shoots and and having some more rumored specs leaked. When it comes to the leaked images, there certainly isn't much that we haven't seen before, but there is a good look at the newer, more black-and-green UI of Gingerbread, including a redesigned dialer. There are also some photos of the Nexus S hardware to be had, and the device looks like it could easily be confused for any other Galaxy S device, save for its curvier frame. Finally, the source of the leak gave out some alleged Nexus S specs, which include a 1GHz dual-core Orion processor, either 328 or 512MB of RAM, 1GB or 2GB of internal storage, 4-inch display (possibly Super AMOLED 2) with an 800x480 resolution, and a camera capable of 720p video capture.
These shots of the Nexus S don't reveal anything about its release date or price, which is what I think we're all really waiting for, but we'll take what we can get when it comes to Google and Samsung's new hotness. After looking over all of the images, I'm not completely sold on the new look of stock Android 2.3. I've always been a fan of vanilla Android, but I haven't been able to get into the new green icons. On the other hand, the darker status bar does look nice. As for the hardware, the Nexus S looks pretty slick so far. I just hope that it doesn't give off an overly-plastic feel when you handle it.
