Pre-orders for T-Mobile's G2 went live just about a week ago, and while T-Mo said that the handset wouldn't be launching until October 6th, it seems that the carrier has decided to give a few lucky customers a surprise. That's right, some lucky pre-orderers have already received their G2 in the mail, with many others receiving notice that their handset has shipped and should be arriving shortly. For those of you that didn't get in on T-Mobile's pre-order for whatever reason (maybe you're not a current customer), the folks at TmoNews received a tip that Radio Shack would begin selling the G2 on Sunday, October 3rd for $149.99 (image down below). If you did pre-order and haven't gotten your phone yet, well, I'm sorry. While you wait, you can watch the short G2 unboxing video above to quench your new phone thirst!
It's not terribly surprising to see the G2 arriving early to customers that pre-ordered from T-Mobile, as this is a fairly regular occurrence when a major phone is released. What is unusual, though, is the fact that they're coming in so early. I'm not one to complain, at least not about this, so good for you folks that already have your shiny new G2.
