Today T-Mobile officially made available the 3,000 minute family plan that was leaked on an internal calendar image a few weeks back. I called T-Mobile to get a better understanding of the benefits of the plan, and was told the reason for adding a plan between the 1500 minute and unlimited price structures was to close an existing gap in service. Apparently there were customers who didn't need the unlimited minutes but did need more than 1500 minutes, and didn't want to pay the $30 or $40 add-a-line charge on the unlimited plans - and that's where you'll save with this plan. The plan comes with two lines for $79.99 or $99.99 depending on if you go the Even More or Even More Plus route, and is an additional $5 for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th lines. Because the plan is not unlimited, if you think you can keep your family minutes below 3,000 per month you'll be saving between $75 to $105 a month just on minutes alone. Of course if you're going to give everyone in the family data and texting, that'll cost you as well, but $75/105 per month is a huge savings, so try your best to keep it under 3,000 minutes, ok. Who's signing up? Let us know!
