BlackBerry 9800 back in the spotlight, complete with AT&T branding

It's funny, when the first pictures started to hit the net (courtesy of Mr. Blurrycam, mind you), I thought this phone was going to be the ugliest duckling on the market.  After looking at the near-final product, I must say - I'm impressed with the design.  It looks good, has a reasonably sized display, and offers a nice physical QWERTY keyboard that's quite similar to the one on the Tour 9630.  According to Engadget's Chris Ziegler, the unit is running BlackBerry 6 (which we already knew), but it's branded with an AT&T splash screen that proudly makes reference to its "world phone" status. 

AT&T users that skipped the iPhone 4 fun for something different, worry not - between the BlackBerry 9800, Samsung Captivate, and the sheer fact that we're only halfway through the year, you should have a few alternatives to choose from.  Decisions, decisions...
