Sprint and Virgin Mobile team up to launch Beyond Talk

Sprint announced today that it has a solution for those of us that hate to be tied into a long cell phone contract.  The new plan, to be available from Sprint’s pre-paid brand Virgin Mobile, will cost a surprisingly cheap $25 per month and will give the user unlimited texting and data along with 300 minutes for voice.  If 300 is simply not enough, users also have the option to up their allotted minutes to 1,200 for $40 per month, or they can go unlimited everything for $60 per month.  BlackBerry data is available as a $10 per month add-on, as well.

The phones available for use on these new plans are nothing to scoff at, either.  While you won’t find anything along the lines of an EVO 4G, there is the relatively new Blackberry Curve 8530 available for $299.99.  There are also a few messaging and feature phones available, like the LG Rumor Touch or the LG Rumor2, available for $149.99 and $89.99, respectively.

Is a $35 per month plan for a newer BlackBerry enough to make you switch to a pre-paid phone? Tell us in the comments below!
