Just last week we mentioned that the launch for the Samsung Galaxy A on SK Telecom was fast approaching. Today, the announcement was made that the first Android-based Samsung device to hit Korea would become available. An interesting piece of information which you may not already know is that the 'A' in Galaxy A stands for Anycall, which is Samsung's mobile phone branding in South Korea and parts of China.
The Galaxy A is a sexy device sporting Android 2.1, a 3.7-inch AMOLED Plus (SAMOLED?) touchscreen with 480x800 resolution, 1500mAh battery, microSD (comes with 8GB), 590MB of internal memory, 5MP camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a 720MHz processor which is said to be a downgrade from th expected 800MHz. I've done an exhaustive search trying to find you pricing on this device, but my Korean search skills coupled with Google Translate only take me so far. The good news is, it looks like a Korean blogger managed to get his hands on the device, and you can read about his findings here.
