Acer Liquid e headed to Rogers for a cool $50

Back in February, Aaron wrote about Acer releasing a different version of the Liquid, the Acer Liquid e. The two phones in comparison are nearly identical, but the Liquid e will ship with Android 2.1 rather than 1.6.  We knew the device was headed to Rogers in Canada, but weren't exactly sure of pricing or the launch time frame.

As it stands, the Liquid e is slated to hit Rogers sometime in June for the grand total of $49.99 with a three-year contract. If you don't want to sign a contract, you can make the Liquid e yours for a mere $349.99. That's not bad considering the phone's specs and relative no-contract prices of similar phones.

Some of the specs for the Liquid e are:

  • Snapdragon processor underclocked to 768MHz
  • Android 2.1 (Eclair) with Acer UI
  • 3.5” WVGA display
  • 5.0 MP camera
  • 256 MB RAM
  • GPS
  • Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth 2.0
  • 3.5 mm headphone jack
  • 7.3 Mbps HSDPA connectivity

So, are any of our friends up in Canada going to get their Acer Liquid e when it ships in June? (I will refrain from referencing “eh?” when talking to our friends up north...for now.)
