Orange giving away free Heros

British carrier Orange UK has Heros available in their retail stores today, and the best part is that you can walk out of the shop with one in your hand without dropping a single pound. The free Hero deal is only available with certain plans, which I'm sure are not cheap. Still, if this sort of subsidy makes its way to the States, Hero is sure to be a smash hit. That would be one way to retaliate against AT&T's $99 iPhone 3G. Then again, if Hero drops on AT&T the price doesn't need to full below $99.
