Palm Pre software update to come in a few weeks?

Take this one with a grain of salt, as Sprint's CSR's are known to be wrong at times, but a forum member over at PreCentral.net claims to have new information on a potential Palm Pre firmware update.  According to the CSR, an internal memo was sent out to Sprint employees detailing a new firmware update launching in the coming weeks.

Though the information given by the representative is quite vague, the update is said to include "improved text messaging features," "improved battery life," and added that video recording will arrive in the near future (which is something I know Palm wants to see implemented on the device as soon as possible).  If you're an avid reader of the website, you know that in my review, I dinged the Pre for terrible battery life.  Should the firmware update be real, and battery life is in fact improved, I can see several users flocking to the device.
