RIP: Neonode AB files for bankruptcy

Well, it was fun while it lasted.  Except, um, it really wasn't all that fun.

Neonode
Inc, makers of the gloriously not shipping (not now, not ever) Neonode
N2 cell phone, announced that their Swedish subsidiary Neonode AB filed
yesterday for bankruptcy protection.  RIP, N2, we hardly knew ye.

I got to check out the N2 in person on the trade show circuit last
year and was even promised - multiple times - that I was getting a
review unit to put through its paces.  The N2 never showed up, the PR
person changed her tune from "hang on" to "don't hold your breath," and
I more or less forgot about the whole thing until today.

Thanks, Neonode, for wasting a few hours of my time in person and a whole bunch more over email.  Good luck with your plan "to continue to operate as a technology licensing
company, focusing on developing and marketing the Company's patented
touch screen technology, zForce™ to third parties."
