I walked by the AT&T store in downtown Berkeley this morning and noticed a giant poster advertising the new iPhone 3G as, "Twice as Fast ... Half the Price." Looks like those posters are going to be joined by in store demo units of the new iPhone as soon as tomorrow, July 8th ... but the demos may not be on display for public use until launch day (Friday the 11th).
According to a leaked sales memo purportedly obtained by Macrumors:
Beginning July 8th you will receive the new iPhone 3G demo devices at your store to enhance your sales process. These devices will be used the same as your 2G demo devices in your sales process but now you can demonstrate the additional capabilities of the iPhone 3G including the App Store
Just a few days now, kids. Get your credit cards ready. Or, you know, keep them in your wallets, enjoy the new iPhone vicariously through our coverage here on the dawg, and save your money for a rainy day.
