As we embrace 2006 and all that is to come it is only appropriate to look back on some of the most anticipated gadgets in 2005 that caught our attention.

Palm Treo 650

RIM BlackBerry 8700c Electron
Fighting through some rough times the blackberry maker has struggled and yet has been able to leave 2005 with a bang. With a bright, 320-by-240 display and support for Cingular's high-speed EDGE data network, the BlackBerry 8700c gets two thumbs up and is easily the best handsets ever to come out of RIM.

Sony Ericsson W600i
Sony Ericsson was able to create the music lovers dream phone for 2005. The W600i Walkman phone with its admirable call quality, simple design, high-quality MP3 player, 2-megapixel camera elegantly combines its calling and multimedia features into a powerful device. Sony Ericsson set the bar high with intuitive controls and support for the most popular audio formats.

Nokia N 90
The Nokia N90 successfully integrated a combination of image capture, communication capabilities and music playback all at high performance with high end features into a stylish and clever package. The Nokia N90 providing a 2-megapixel CMOS digital camera with flash and 8X digital zoom, MPEG-4 video-capture capabilities, MP3 player; PictBridge compatible; Bluetooth deserves to recognized as one of the best camera phones of 2005.
